A national conference of State seed corporations will be held here on Friday and Saturday to share experiences in seed production and discuss technologies available in seed production.
Telangana State Seed Development Corporation Chairman Kondabala Koteswara Rao and Agriculture Secretary C. Parthasarathi told a media conference here on Wednesday that the conference was being organised here in the light of the State’s plans to emerge as the seed bowl of the country.
Officials of 10 States had consented to participate in the deliberations and Chairman of National Seed Corporation Vinod Kumar Gaur will also be present, Director of Telangana State Seed Certification Agency K. Keshavulu said a memorandum of understanding was signed by him and chairman of Rythu Nestham Foundation in the presence of Vice-President M. Venkaiah Naidu at Vijayawada on Tuesday to promote certified organic farming in Telangana and Andhra Pradesh.
