Naidu puts off Singapore visit

March 26, 2015 12:00 am | Updated 05:51 am IST - HYDERABAD:

Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu, who was scheduled to leave here for Singapore on Wednesday night for Singapore to pay last respects to first Prime Minister of Singapore Lee Kuan Yew, has postponed his visit.

It is learnt that the Centre has informally sounded to Mr. Naidu to join the delegation being led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi to attend the funeral of Lee Kuan Yew on March 29.

The Chief Minister, it is learnt, is mulling on the suggestion since March 29 happens to be Telugu Desam Party’s foundation day. He is likely to decide on Thursday morning whether or not to join the Prime Minister’s delegation.
