Murals to adorn Hyderabad’s flyovers

Murals will soon adorn the city’s flyovers. The GHMC has decided to have mural art works in mosaic, cement or mixed media on the pillars of 14 flyovers in its jurisdiction.

For the purpose, the corporation has invited bids from artists and art firms. The proposed murals are to embellish 20 pillars of the Basheerbagh flyover, 13 pillars of the Chandrayangutta flyover and 14 of the Tarnaka flyover.

Other flyovers set to get a facelift with the murals include ones at Narayanaguda (13 pillars), Langer Houz (20 pillars), Telugu Thalli (38 pillars), Masab Tank (12 pillars), Punjagutta (28 pillars), Hitec City (14 pillars), Begumpet Lifestyle (29 pillars), Gachibowli (52 pillars), Harihara Kalabhavan (26 pillars), Begumpet old airport flyover (7 pillars) and CTO flyover (8 pillars).
