The Cyberabad police on Thursday arrested a real estate company owner from Banjara Hills holding him responsible for the death of six persons, including two children in a wall collapse at M.J. Colony in Moula Ali on July 23.

Malkajgiri ACP P. Radhakishan Rao said a trap was laid to bring the company owner, Sridhar, from Chennai to the city and he was nabbed when he came to meet his friends here.

After the wall collapse, Sridhar escaped and took shelter in different areas, including Vijayawada and Chennai.

“We have been monitoring his movements for the past few weeks and finally we managed to nab him today,” the ACP said.

Sridhar’s partner Aziz was arrested last week. The two had established Mahayana Construction Company Limited in Banjara Hills.

The police registered a case under Section 304 part-II of IPC and named 14 people, including GHMC officials as accused.
