More rain in store

September 22, 2016 12:00 am | Updated November 01, 2016 08:04 pm IST - HYDERABAD:

City received over 14 cm of rain this week and more is store in the coming days warned weathermen.

Since Tuesday late evening, many areas of Hyderabad, notably Quttubullapur received over 10 cm of rain. The downpour was attributed to a low-pressure air system over west-central Bay of Bengal. The system is said to be moving in the north-westerly direction and is likely to bring more rain in the next few days.

“Telangana can expect rainfall over the next three days. But it remains to be seen if the low-pressure moves onto land to bring rain next week,” said an India Meteorological Department meteorologist. The IMD has issued heavy rain alert for the next 48 hours.
