Moneylender robbed of valuables at gunpoint

Three unidentified persons collected seven tolas and 100 gm of gold and silver ornaments apart from Rs.30,000 by threatening the victim

Unidentified persons allegedly snatched gold ornaments and cash from a moneylender Vijay Kumar (45) at gunpoint at his shop in Yakutpura on Monday.

According to police, three persons came on a motorcycle in the afternoon. While one miscreant waited on the motorcycle outside the shop, two others entered the shop and brandished a knife and a gun at the money lender and threatened him with dire consequences if he raised an alarm, the police said.

Later, the miscreants collected seven tolas of gold ornaments, 100 grams of silver ornaments and Rs.30,000 in cash from his shop and fled.

The Rein Bazaar police collected footage from CC cameras installed in the shop and trying to identify them.
