There cannot be any compromise on security at public places like malls, multiplexes, theatres and hospitals because terrorists often target them. Police had been trying to drive home the point regularly. Whenever terrorists’ attacks were reported in the city or elsewhere, they swung into action and conducted anti-sabotage checks.

The managements of the concerned complexes were instructed to make their premises safe and secure by plugging the loopholes and acquiring latest gadgets. In some cases, even notices were served to those who failed to comply with the instructions.

Not much has changed despite the police persuading them to secure their premises. To check the measures initiated by the owners, police sent decoy parties carrying explosive substances and firearms inside these places. To their surprise, many decoy parties went inside without arousing an iota of suspicion of the security personnel there.

Many feel it is high time police acted tough against such managements for not taking adequate precautionary measures.
