A MMTS train driver suffered multiple injuries after the Lingampalli-Nampally train hit a concrete barricade at the dead-end of platform no. 2 at Nampally Station on wednesday morning.

Following the accident, couple of coaches derailed and collapsed on the other tracks. The driver's cabin was severely damaged and his leg was stuck in the debris. It took over an hour for authorities to rescue and shift him to a hospital.

Authorities claimed no passengers were injured in the incident as the train was approaching for a halt at Nampally.

The reasons behind the incident were being ascertained.
