Miraculous escape for schoolchildren

At least over 75 students of a school in Halia mandal headquarters had a miraculous escape on Wednesday morning when the school bus they were travelling in lost control and went off the road near Lingampally village of Peddavoora mandal in Nalgonda district. Dozens of children had minor bruises, Sub-Inspector of Police (Peddavoora) Prasad Rao, who rushed to the spot on receiving information about the accident, said. While he would not straightaway come to a conclusion about what led to the mishap, it was understood that as the heavily-overloaded bus was negotiating a curve, the steering rod broke. While a case was registered, officials of the Transport department were expected to look into the technical aspects of how the mishap took place. The students were said to be of the Krishnaveni Talent School.
