A meeting was held between the officials of Bhagyanagar Gas Limited (BGL) and Local Military Authority (LMA) at Telangana and Andhra Sub Area headquarters on January 24, for provisioning Piped Natural Gas (PNG) in the cantonment.

This will provide ready availability of cooking gas in each household and the cookhouse in the cantonment. “It is a positive step towards development of Smart Cantonment. The main aim is to offset the harmful effect of conventional fossil fuels on the environment,” a release issued by the Defence Wing read.

BGL has been carrying out city gas distribution project at Hyderabad, Secunderabad, Vijayawada and Kakinada after authorisation from Petroleum and Natural Gas Regulatory Board (PNGRB) and the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas.
