Meeting every 3 days in Ramzan month

July 20, 2012 08:34 am | Updated 08:34 am IST - HYDERABAD:

Chief Minister N. Kiran Kumar Reddy asked authorities to hold meetings every three days in the holy month of Ramzan to redress problems of electricity, water and sanitation across the State.

Reviewing arrangements for Ramzan at Jubilee Hall here on Thursday, Mr. Reddy wanted the meetings to be convened by Sam Bob, Principal Secretary, Municipal Administration. He sought police patrolling to be stepped up in all sensitive areas and extra vigil to be maintained for crime prevention. Mr. Reddy also asked APTransco to arrange mobile transformers as standby to meet power shutdown in areas like Charminar, Pathergatti and other commercial centres.

Home Minister P. Sabita Indra Reddy said all jails in the State would be directed to provide separate barracks for Iftar and Sahar rituals.
