Pharmacy retail chain MedPlus on Thursday announced the launch of MedPluslab.com, an online clinical laboratory service in Hyderabad.
Using the portal, the customers could select the tests they need, furnish the address from where their sample has to be collected and also book a time slot. After the test is performed, consumers get to download and print their online reports.
Addressing presspersons, MedPlus founder and CEO Madhukar Gangadi and MedPlus Health Services COO Surendra Mantena said the idea behind the online facility is to make it easy and convenient for the customers. The company, which is operating clinical laboratories under the MedPlus PathLab brand, intends to offer the tests at rates 50 per cent less than the prevailing market rates.
The online facility is available for customers to choose from a comprehensive list of tests, including the routine and specialised pathology tests. Tests conducted as part of the preventive health check up packages are also offered online. Stating this, Dr.Mantena said after Hyderabad, the service would be launched in Bengaluru and Chennai. It will be followed by Kolkata and then across the country.
