Boost production and expand operations in Hyderabad: MP

Karimnagar MP B. Vinod Kumar has asked the milk producers of Karimnagar Dairy (Karimnagar Milk Producer Company Limited) to increase milk production by five lakh litres per day and increase their area of operation and marketing in the Hyderabad city extensively.

Participating in the Sankranti celebrations of the Karimnagar Dairy on the outskirts of Karimnagar town on Friday, he said that there was good potential in the market for the increase of Karimnagar dairy’s milk sales in the Telangana in general and Hyderabad city in particular.

Appreciating the Karimnagar Dairy authorities for making strides in milk production and sales in the State, he lauded them for launching several innovative welfare schemes for the milk producers, their children and also the milch animals.

He also said that the State government was planning to distribute milch animals to increase milk production. He asked the milk producers to ensure that 30 % of the milk was consumed by their family members including girl children.

Karimnagar Dairy Chairman Ch. Rajeshwara Rao said that they were taking all measures to increase the milk production and provide alternate source of income to the farmers.

Zilla Parishad chairperson Tula Uma, MD P. Shankar Reddy, advisor V. Hanumanth Reddy and other were also present.

The MP and ZP chairperson also distributed scholarship of ₹800 each to 532 children of milk producers, death claims to 32 persons at the rate of ₹1 lakh each to seven accidental deaths and ₹50,000 each to 25 natural deaths of the milk producers.
