A 20-year-old housewife was throttled to death after a heated argument with her husband at Falaknuma on Sunday night, the police said. The woman identified as Maleka Banu was married to Naseeruddin, an auto driver two years ago and is survived with a six-month-old daughter. On Sunday night Naseer returned home after work at around midnight and picked up a quarrel with his wife over some issue and in a fit of rage killed her. The incident occurred when other family members were away, said M.H. Naidu, Station House Officer, Falaknuma police station.
The accused fled soon after the incident, the police said.
