A private company executive was arrested on Thursday after his wife found him sharing her private pictures and videos with another man online.

The accused Akula Chaitanya from Medchal on the city outskirts had recorded the videos and clicked pictures of his wife with his mobile phone without her consent and shared it on Skype with another man . “Chaitanya was in the habit of watching porn online and used to chat on porn websites, Cyberabad police Cyber Crimes ACP S. Jayaram said.

The victim charged that Chaitanya had been harassing her soon after their marriage. Even as she objected to clicking pictures and taking videos of their private moments, her husband ignored her protests.

“Whenever she asked for his mobile phone, he used to keep it away from her,” the ACP said. Four days ago, she forcibly took the phone and was shocked to see her nude pictures, chats in her name and video clips of the couple’s private moments being shared through it.

“Some of the pictures and videos were transmitted live while she was bathing. She approached us,” the ACP said. Investigations revealed that three weeks ago Chaitanya came in contact with a person called Sriman while chatting on porn websites. They both exchanged their Skype ID details for further communication. On June 11, the executive created a Skype account on his mobile and started exchanging private pictures of their respective wives and agreed to share more such photos and videos, the investigators said. Police are trying to identify Sriman and locate him.

A criminal case under section 509 (word, gesture, act intended to outrage woman’s modesty) and other sections of Information Technology Act was registered.
