Man kills wife, 2 kids in Hyderabad, surrenders to police

A 32-year-old man allegedly killed his wife and two children at his in-laws house in Sai Prabhu colony under Meerpet police limits here on Tuesday morning.

Police said that the accused, Surender strangled his wife Varalakshmi (28) and their son Nitish (5) and daughter Yashashvini (2). Later, he walked into the police station confessed his crime.

Meerpet police suspect that he killed the children while they were asleep and the murders took place between 6.30 a.m. and 7 a.m., when Varalakshmi’s parents were not present in the house.

However, the reason behind the murders is being ascertained, the police said.

The victims were immediately rushed to a private hospital in Santosh Nagar, where doctors declared them brought dead.

Later, police shifted the bodies to Osmania General hospital morgue for autopsy. A case was registered and a probe is on.

On February 5, a dental technician M. Harinder Goud killed his wife and two children at their house under same police station limits and later surrendered to police.

Ten-days prior to the above incident, a 30-year-old sales executive, G. Aparna Devi, her mother Vijayalakshmi(48) and daughter Karthikeyi (5) were found murdered at thier residence in Chandanagar.

Later, her partner, R Madhu surrendered before police admitting to the killings.
