A 27-year-old compressor operator died after he came under a huge boulder while carrying out drilling at a construction site in Polkampally village under Ibrahimpatnam police station limits on Tuesday.
M. Srisailam of Kanapur village in Ibrahimpatnam, along with his friend Lingam, was working at the site for the past 10 days. The two were attending to drilling works when the former came under a huge boulder resulting in grievous injuries.
Workers rushed him to a nearby hospital where doctors declared him brought dead, the police said.
Ibrahimpatnam Inspector Mohammed Ghouse said a case under Section 304-II of IPC was booked against the management of the construction site and the compressor owner.
