Man held for hoax call

The Secunderabad railway police on Monday arrested a grocery store owner on charges of making a hoax call stating that a bomb was planted at Cavalry Barracks railway station in Alwal and that it would explode any time.

K. Subramanyam (50) of Ramachandrapuram in East Godavari district allegedly made the call through his mobile phone a few days ago. With the help of call data list, the police traced his house and arrested him. Secunderabad Railway SP, M. Kantha Rao said stern action would be taken against those making hoax calls and disrupting the train services.
