Rajendranagar Police found a highly decomposed body of a man at an apartment on Monday. Cops suspect the man could have been murdered by his business partner.
According to the police, the deceased Imtiyaz, along with his partner Nissar Ahmed were put up at the apartment belonging to Santoshnagar resident M.A. Waheed. The police narrated that they were put up at the apartment temporarily by Waheed after he was requested by a real estate broker to do so.
Ahmed and Imtiyaz were looking for a flat on rent and approached the broker Lateefuddin who showed them a flat in Mehdipatnam. As that flat was not immediately available, he had arranged for the duo to stay temporarily in Waheed’s flat on April 19.
The next day, according to the Police, Ahmed locked Waheed’s flat and left. After neighbours noticed a foul smell emanating from the flat on Monday, the police were called.
Upon entering the flat, they found Imtiyaz’s body in a decomposed state in the bathroom with head injuries and a plastic wire around his neck.
Woman killed
A 26-year-old woman was found brutally murdered at a penthouse in Kukatpally on Monday. Police suspect she may have been killed by her paramour.
According to Kukatpally Police, the owner of a building where the body was found, alerted the police after noticing a foul smell. When the police arrived at the penthouse they found the woman’s body in a decomposed state with multiple stab wounds.
Police counsel women
Police prevented five persons from ending their lives by jumping into Hussainsagar in the last two days. The rescued were three women and two girl children of one of the women.
According to the Lake Police, the women cited family and marital issues as reasons for contemplating suicide. K. Mamatha, B. Shakuntala, K. Vijaya and her two children Ramya and Bhavya, were rescued before they could jump from Upper Tank Bund road. The police counselled the women and handed them over to their families.
Novotel fined
The Novotel hotel in Madhapur was fined Rs 30,000 for violations related to procurement and storage of meat. West Zone officials of the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation conducted inspection at the hotel on Monday.
The veterinary officials found that though the hotel was using stamped meat, the labels were not retained to ascertain the date of purchase. Bommarillu and Malgudi Family restaurant and Hotel Sitara Grand in Miyapur were also fined for using unstamped meat and unhygienic kitchen conditions.
