December 14, 2013 11:38 pm | Updated November 17, 2021 01:11 am IST - HYDERABAD:

A 30-year-old passenger, who had flown in from Muscat to Rajiv Gandhi International Airport (RGIA) allegedly with a tampered passport, was caught by the immigration authorities here on Saturday.

P. Jalandhar, hailing from Kathalapur mandal of Karimnagar district, claimed that one of his employers detained his passport in Saudi Arabia where he had gone to work six years ago. He said he approached a local agent there and purchased passport of another person which was in the name of Koduri Rajamouli.

Jalandhar, who substituted Rajamouli’s photo in the passport with that of his, thus came to Hyderabad. He was handed over to the RGIA police for further investigation.
