Mahabubnagar woman shot dead in Toronto

May 02, 2016 12:00 am | Updated 05:38 am IST - HYDERABAD:

The Mahabubnagar district police could not find any relatives of Cynthia George Krupakar Mullapudi, who was gunned down along with a man in the parking lot outside a Liquor Control Board of Ontario in Scarbourough Mall in Toronto, Canada, late on Friday evening.

Cynthia and Joseph Anzolana were getting into their sports utility vehicle when the killer approached the vehicle and started firing at them, just after the man came out of the store after buying some liquor.

The Toronto police claimed that they had some clues, in the form of footage from a closed-circuit television camera and were working on that to track the killer.

When contacted, Deputy Superintendent of Police (Special Branch) at Mahabubnagar Mahankali Ramamurthy said they could not find anyone related to the family at Christianpally in the town.

“We learnt that the entire family had migrated to Canada at least a decade and a half ago. They have no relatives living here,” he said.
