HYDERABAD:

Television artistes, who are on an agitation, demanding a ban on telecast of dubbed serials in television channels attacked the Maa TV office in Jubilee Hills on Friday. Tension prevailed for some time as the protestors hurled stones damaging the glass façade and some vehicles parked on the premises.

The ‘Telugu Television Parishrama Pariraskhana Samithi’ is spearheading the agitation launched a few days ago. They argue that the serials dubbed from other languages were depriving local talent of their livelihood and were also affecting the Telugu language and culture.
