L&T allowed to construct piers at more sites

Chief Minister N. Kiran Kumar Reddy on Thursday agreed to permit the L&T Metro Rail Hyderabad (L&TMRH) constructing the elevated metro rail project for the city to take up the piers work in other parts of the city too.

He asked Hyderabad Metro Rail Managing Director N.V.S. Reddy to ensure that the GHMC, Water Board and the traffic police allow more work sites. The Special Task Force headed by the Chief Secretary too will be meeting more frequently to resolve any contentious issues between various departments, he informed L&TMRH Chairman Y.M. Deosthalee and Managing Director V.B. Gadgil when they called on him.

The metro rail officials of the concessionaire reiterated the request to permit starting piers work at various other locations at the earliest as they were ready to pump in more personnel, machinery and manpower to speed up the project. They apprised the Chief Minister about the progress of works.
