People looking at reconstruction of Telangana, Seemandhra post-bifurcation: Katari Srinivasa Rao

Credibility of the political parties will be the deciding factor in this election, according to the Lok Satta Party. Exuding confidence, the party is hoping its constructive role on the bifurcation issue will be reflected in the outcome of the polls.

Party State president Katari Srinivasa Rao said his party is being increasingly seen by people as a “real alternative” to main political parties. The party, which had already announced candidates for 25 Assembly constituencies, is in a door-to-door campaign mode in 14 Telangana and 11 Seemandhra constituencies.

“People are looking at reconstruction of Telangana and Seemandhra post-bifurcation.

There is no polarisation now on regional lines. People fed up with traditional, corrupt and dynasty-based political parties are rallying behind Lok Satta as the credible alternative to bring in clean, people-centric governance and development,” Mr. Srinivasa Rao said.

Mr. Rao said the political situation in both the regions is fluid and people are evaluating the situation. This when the TRS and Congress have locked horns in Telangana over claiming credit for the bifurcation and the YSR Congress and TDP are arraigned against the Congress in Seemandhra for dividing the State unilaterally.

Upbeat after the Sunday’s election campaign meeting ‘Eela Bheri’ by party national president Jayaprakash Narayan in his Kukatpally constituency in Hyderabad where he challenged 293 MLAs to demonstrate better performance as legislators, party leaders and cadre are confident that the trend set by people of Kukatpally in 2009 in electing a candidate by defeating money power would be reflected across the State.
