The Lok Satta Party, which hoped to strike an alliance with the Bharatiya Janata Party and the Telugu Desam, with a common agenda will now go alone.
Party State president Katari Srinivasa Rao told media persons here on Saturday the party would not have any tie-up with any political party.
The Lok Satta Party had taken an initiative to work with the BJP and the TDP in the interest of the nation and the State.
Cold response
But the parties still haggling over Assembly and Lok Sabha seats did not respond to the Lok Satta’s initiative of working on a common agenda nor they involved the party to work out an alliance.
With time running out, the party decided to announce its candidates in both Telangana and Seemandhra regions.
The party has already announced candidates for 14 Assembly constituencies in Telangan and candidates for another 50 Assembly seats and six Lok Sabha seats would be announced on Sunday.
The Seemandhra party unit will hold a meeting at Guntur on April 7 and may announce candidates for 80 to 100 Assembly and 15 Lok Saba seats.
Party National President Jayaprakash Narayan will file his nomination from Malkajgiri Lok Sabha constituency on April 7.
“It is a natural choice for him as the Kukatpally Assembly constituency falls under the Malkajrigi parliamentary constituency,” he added.
