Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu on Saturday termed his six-day China visit as satisfying, with fruitful interactions with top Chinese leadership, industry and business delegations.

Mr. Naidu, who led the national delegation ahead of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit to China next month, said Andhra Pradesh had entered into as many as 29 MoUs with China – 17 Government-to-Business and 12 Business-to-Business MoUs. The State delegation, accompanied by a CII delegation, interacted with 30 Chinese business delegations.

To brief Modi on visit

Mr. Naidu will now brief the Prime Minister about his discussions with the Chinese leadershipAddressing the media here on Saturday, the Chief Minister said China, which had reached saturation in growth, was now interested in diversifying and exploring business and growth opportunities across the world and was keen to invest in India.

“I requested Chinese companies to work out synergy with Indian companies and told them that AP, with its long coastline, rich mineral resources and human resources, could evolve as a logistics hub for South Asian countries. There is potential for cooperation with Chinese companies in infrastructure, industry, capital construction on the lines of Shanghai, technology, hardware manufacturing, multi-modal transport, tourism and irrigation and the agro-processing sector,” he said.

The Chinese companies, which signed MoUs with AP, will come to the State to explore its potential, while Amaravathi can attract world-class companies like Shanghai to ensure financial and economic growth, he added. “China is No.1 in irrigation, too, and whether they will help us in the Polavaram project, we will explore,” he said.

Noting that China’s remarkable growth story became possible, as they mastered speed, scale and skill of execution of projects in every sector, Mr. Naidu said inviting Chinese companies would enable Indian enterprises to emerge as world-class companies.
