Legal Metrology raids 5 fuel stations, books one

Legal Metrology officials on Tuesday carried out raids on five petrol bunks following complaints of short-supply of fuel. In the process, they registered a case against SVS Petrol Products at Amberpet.

Similarly, 17 cases were booked against more than 10 filling stations in the State for similar offences.

“The Controller of Legal Metrology had received complaints from people about short-supply at those pumps. Therefore the special drive in the State,” a Legal Metrology official said, adding that the supply of gas in other petrol pumps was not short.

Maha Laxmi Filling station IBP Auto Services (both Karimnagar), Lakshmi Madhavi Filling Station, Thirumala Filling Station, Bharat Oil Company (all Warangal), Gondagoni Maisaiah Filling Station, Lavanya Filling Station (both Nalgonda), Venkata Sai Filling Station, Tirupati, Gudur Filling Station, Nellore, Laxmi Shailaja Fuel Complex, Nizamabad, P. Jagannadham Petrol Pump, Kurnool, Annapurneswari Service Station and Premier Filling Station (both Guntur), Shivani Filling Station (Srikakulam) and Taj Enterprises were also book for short-supply after the special drive.
