After going on strike for more than a month, the lawyers have decided to attend the courts from October 31 but will continue their agitation for Telangana in different forms.
The Telangana Lawyers JAC chairman M. Rajender Reddy said that the decision was taken at a meeting of the presidents of all the ten districts of Telangana Lawyers JAC on Monday.
He said the meeting was of the view that since they have made their point for a separate Telangana the agitation should continue in other forms instead of boycotting the courts.
As a part of the agitation lawyers will participate in indefinite hunger strikes at all the courts from November 1 even as they attend courts.
Massive rally
Mr. Reddy said they will also hold a massive rally at Polavaram with 10,000 lawyers from the Telangana districts demanding the change of the project plan.
They will meet at Bhadrachalam and on the way to Polavaram they will interact with tribal leaders to understand the loss they will suffer.
He said the lawyers were of the view that the project should be stalled as the very existence of tribals in hundreds of villages was at stake.
The lawyers have also decided to plead in the Polavaram case in the Supreme Court The agitation mode will be reviewed on regular basis but it will continue till a clear assurance comes from Central government on separate Telangana State, Mr. Reddy said.
