More than 6,000 Kuchipudi dancers will be coming together on one stage for the fourth edition of Kuchipudi Dance Convention scheduled to be held at Gachibowli Stadium in the city from December 26 to 28.

Dancers not only from different parts of the State and country, but also from other countries such as the US, Canada, Russia, UK, Dubai, Mauritius, Malaysia and Singapore would be participating in the event organised by Silicon Andhra in association with Amara Raja Group. A highlight of the convention would be a group recital ‘Maha Brinda Natyam’ which would have a performance by thousands of dancers.

Speaking to presspersons here on Thursday, Silicon Andhra founder and chairman Anand Kuchibhotla said the previous editions of the convention had a positive impact in creating awareness and propagating Kuchipudi dance across the Telugu speaking people and beyond. “We hope this edition will further enhance the stature and popularity of Kuchipudi dance and encourage more and more people to appreciate and participate in learning and practicing this dance form,” he said. The convention would also include a workshop and interactive session where technical aspects of the dance form will be discussed.
