IT Minister K.T. Rama Rao invited the NRI community from Telangana to play an active role in the State’s progress.

Mr. Rama Rao, who is currently in Switzerland to attend the World Economic Forum conference, interacted with the Telangana diaspora during his halt at Zurich. He said the State had embarked upon a journey to fulfil the aspirations of the people on which the State was formed. Accordingly, several path breaking initiatives had been launched within a short span of three years, he said.

He highlighted the developmental projects and initiatives launched by the State government to ensure adequate irrigation facilities and provision of basic amenities. He thanked the diaspora for the role they had played in the development of the State. “Telangana NRIs are the best brand ambassadors of the State. They should bring in investors, new technologies and best practices to the State,” he said. The State was on a path of accelerated progress under the leadership of Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao, said the Minister. The NRIs, who had arrived from Sweden, Germany and the U.K., spent nearly three hours with Mr. Rama Rao, according to an official release.
