The KL University, on Monday, has announced its partnership with Hewlett Packard (HP) India, towards enabling its campus for advanced cloud computing solutions.

The HP Converged Cloud solutions will enhance the capabilities of the 46 research groups working across 50 projects by allowing them to enter the network from anywhere or from any device, the Pro Vice-Chancellor of the university and member of the Board L.S.S. Reddy informed a media conference here on Monday. The university has also enhanced its network experience by enabling the campus with high speed WiFi.

A data centre set up by HP will integrate the servers, storage, networking, security and management, and make it available to any device carried by the members authorised to access the server, using wireless and cloud technologies, Country Manager (Converged Infrastructure and Cloud Solutions) of HP Ramachandran V said. The project cost Rs.6 crore.

Further, the university has collaborated with HP Education Services to avail its VideoBook facility, and HP Accredited Technical Association certification on cloud computing, Prof.Reddy said.
