Kishan Reddy named BJP floor leader

Amberpet MLA G. Kishan Reddy was declared the BJP floor leader in Assembly at the party workers’ meeting addressed by Amit Shah at Shamshabad on Sunday. He will replace BJP State president K. Laxman, who was appointed to the post after the 2014 general elections. The announcement was made by BJP national general secretary Ramlal.

Mr. Reddy will be the floor leader for the third time in as many elections that he won so far. He held the post from 2004 to 2009 and retained for a couple of years after the 2009 elections.
