Chief Minister N. Kiran Kumar Reddy directed the officials to immediately take care of the entire medical expenditure incurred by former first-class cricketer Inder Raj, who is in a corporate hospital, after his gangrene affected left leg was amputated.

It is said that the Chief Minister was quick to respond because he himself played for Hyderabad under-22 and also under the captaincy of Gaur Mohan Raj, brother of Inder Raj.

The cricketer is in such a bad shape that he is unable to foot the bill which came to close to Rs. 1 lakh to get discharged from the hospital.

In a press release issued here on Tuesday, the Chief Minister’s Office said Mr. Kiran Kumar Reddy instructed the officials to provide any further assistance required by the cricketer under the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund.
