CM hopes the Rs. 24.75-crore facility will solve the decades old traffic problem
Chief Minister N. Kiran Kumar Reddy on Friday inaugurated the long awaited new parallel road-over-bridge at Lakdikapul and hoped that the Rs.24.75-crore facility would offer a solution to the decades old traffic problem at this junction.
Recalling his college days, Mr. Reddy said, “This junction was prone to traffic jams even at that time. The new facility will give the much-needed breather to the motorists”.
The ongoing projects like Hyderabad Metro Rail and Outer Ring Road, along with widening of major roads in the city, would solve the traffic problems in the capital, he pointed out.
Labour Minister Danam Nagender, Major Industries Minister J. Geeta Reddy, Mayor Mohammad Majid Hussain and GHMC Commissioner M.T. Krishna Babu, among others, participated in the inauguration.

Rama Krishna said. The new traffic scheme would also be come into effect from tomorrow, he said. “We have already placed road signages explaining the changes in the traffic scheme and the remaining infrastructural modifications will be completed tonight,” he said.
