Kin sore over undue delay at forensic lab

October 31, 2013 11:31 pm | Updated November 16, 2021 07:37 pm IST - HYDERABAD:

Emotions ran high at the Andhra Pradesh Forensic Science Laboratory (APFSL) here when relatives of the passengers who lost their lives in the Volvo bus fire protested over the attitude of officials in collecting DNA samples to hand over the bodies to families concerned.

Relatives took strong objection to the FSL officials’ attitude when the latter told them that it would take at least eight days to give the reports. Some of the grieving families even broke down appealing to the authorities to give the DNA reports at the earliest.

Authorities from Mahabubnagar collectorate intervened and pacified the relatives.
