HYDERABAD: Reported claims of proximity to Bollywood star Salman Khan landed three siblings, the owners of Saberi’s optical shop, and a physical trainer in a case and a counter case on Tuesday.

While trainer Qashif Qureshi charged the Saberi brothers, Akbar, Hasan and Fasi, of assault him at his residence in Farhatnagar of Dabeerpura, the trio alleged that Qureshi had attacked them. The actor was the brand ambassador for their store and had attended its programmes.

Qureshi, who participated in reality show Big Boss had also met the actor, the host of the show. He eventually got closer to the star after planning some fight scenes in Khan-starrer Wanted. “Both Qureshi and the optical store owners used to boast of their proximity to the star, and this created a rift between him and them,” Dabeerpura Inspector D.V. Ranga Reddy said.

Based on Qureshi’s assault complaint, police registered a criminal case against the bro-thers. On Tuesday night, the trio approached police refuting the allegation. They too filed a complaint, stating that Qureshi had attacked them, following which police booked a case against the trainer.
