Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao on Tuesday stated that he would go round the State and visit villages after August 15 to explain people about the work being done by the government and the hurdles being created by some forces inimical to the State’s progress.

Mr. Rao visited Aliabad, Jagganguda, Muduchintalapally, Laxmapur and Keshawaram villages in Shamirpet mandal of Medchal-Malkajgiri district and participated in development programmes besides interacting with people.

Speaking at Muduchintalapally, the Chief Minister said land survey and settlement survey planned by the State government for updating the land records would be conducted for three months.

The services of 25 agencies working on land and survey in the country would be utilised for the purpose and even foreign technology would be utilised, if necessary.

Achievement of golden Telangana was possible only with the local people, particularly the youth, leading the transformation.

It was possible with the revenue growth rate being achieved by the State, he said, and noted that it was highest in the country at 21.7% in 2016-17.

Announcing several sops to the village, the Chief Minister said a public health centre would be set up there in the name of Veera Reddy soon and Health Minister Dr. C. Laxma Reddy would lay foundation stone for the building within a week. He said that a two-lane road would be laid between Muduchintalapally and Cheekatimamidi.

Further, a building would be constructed at a cost of ₹ 30 lakh for women self-help groups and a community hall would be built with ₹ 75 lakh cost.

Besides, special development fund of ₹5 crore would be kept at the disposal of the District Collector for Laxmapur, Keshawaram, Muduchintalapally and three other villages.

The Chief Minister also announced that 374 minor irrigation tanks in the district would be filled with Godavari water next year.
