KCR leaves for Delhi

Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao left for New Delhi in the evening for a meeting with Defence Minister Mahesh Parikkar on Thursday to seek Cantonment land for the setting up of Telangana Secretariat.

Sources said Mr. Rao might ask Gymkhana ground or Polo ground at Bolarum which are properties of the cantonment board for the new Secretariat as the earlier proposal of the government to shift to the Chest Hospital at Erragadda has run into rough weather since the campus has heritage buildingsHe will also request Mr. Parikkar to sanction a Sainik School at Warangal. .
