KCR lauds students

Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao has in a message, appreciated the performance of students of Telangana State Government Residential Schools in the Intermediate examination, results of which were announced on Monday.

In the Telangana State Government Residential Schools, 61.4 per cent passing the Intermediate 2nd year, while 80.57 of those in Social Welfare residential schools passed. The number of those in Tribal Welfare residential schools who passed was 84.3 per cent.

The news of a large number of residential school students cracking the IIT-JEE entrance examinations, whose results were also announced on Monday, was also reason for happiness, he said.

This, Mr. Rao said, only shows that quality education is being imparted in Government-run educational institutions.
