KCR has no right to preach: Revanth

The deputy floor leader of the TDP accused the Chief Minister of ignoring Assembly values and suppressing the Opposition

May 05, 2015 12:00 am | Updated 05:57 am IST - HYDERABAD:

Telugu Desam Party MLA A. Revanth Reddy on Monday accused Telangana Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao of preaching about morals after giving Assembly values the go-by and undemocratically suppressing the Opposition.

Addressing the media here on Monday, the deputy floor leader of the TDP in the Assembly criticised the ruling TRS for making officials participate in a political training camp organised for party leaders. He asked officials not to attend party programmes.

He said the problems of farmers or welfare schemes were not discussed at the training camp, and the “classes” were confined to praising the Chief Minister.

Wondering how those who switched parties could talk of political values and of protecting democracy, Mr. Revanth Reddy said courts had found fault with almost every decision of the State Government – from the FAST scheme to the recent appointment of parliamentary secretaries. He demanded that the TRS leadership force the defectors to resign and go in for fresh elections.
