KCR calls on Governor

Telangana Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao called on Governor E.S.L. Narasimhan in Raj Bhavan here on Tuesday.

The meeting between the two lasted for about an hour.

Official sources stated that the Chief Minister had apprised the Governor of drought situation in the State, the measures being taken by the Government to provide relief to people, political developments in the State and also about the Telangana Formation Day celebrations scheduled on June 2.

Meanwhile, the Chief Minister appointed a Cabinet Sub-Committee to oversee the arrangements for celebrating the second anniversary of State formation.

The committee would comprise Home Minister N. Narsimha Reddy, Finance Minister E. Rajender, Municipal Administration Minister K. Taraka Rama Rao and Panchayat Raj Minister J. Krishna Rao.
