Kamalnathan panel meets Governor

The C.R. Kamalnathan Committee, constituted by the Centre to formulate guidelines for distribution of State-level employees between the two successor States, met the Governor E.S.L.Narasimhan here on Thursday.

The Governor, who reviewed the progress of data being collected on sanctioned posts and employees in the State, district, multi-zonal and zonal cadres, directed the State government committee on employees’ distribution to speed up the process.

The member of GoM on State Reorganisation and Union Minister Jairam Ramesh also attended the meeting. The government recently issued a circular instructing all the government departments, corporations, head of departments to upload the data online by April 12 without fail.

Guidelines by April 15

The Kamalnathan committee which was working on formulating guidelines had discussions with various employees associations to understand their concerns. It is expected to formulate the guidelines and submit it to the Centre by April 15 for its approval, sources said. These guidelines then would be uploaded on the website.
