In a shocking incident, Forest Minister Jogu Ramanna was missing for about half an hour in the Narsapur forest area but luckily reached the spot where he started. This all started after Mr. Ramanna accompanied by Deputy Speaker M. Padma Devender Reddy and Collector Bharati Hollikeri and others reached the Narsapur forest area to participate in Haritha Haram programme. Narsapur forest area is one of the biggest and famous area in the State and the Government decided to increase the forest cover as it was fast depleting. As part of that, both Mr. Ramanna and Ms. Padma came to the forest area and took up sowing seed balls in addition to planting saplings. After planting saplings both of them were to go for lunch arranged at about 2 km from the spot. While Ms. Padma and others moved early it took a little extra time for Mr. Ramanna as he was interacting with media personnel. This led to the minister not able to trace the route to the spot where lunch was arranged. Lack of mobile signals in the forest intensified the confusion. Finally after moving here and there for half an hour, the Minister reached the spot and everyone heaved a sigh of relief.
