Investment option
On the rise in gold prices and its impact on the sales this year, A.P. Gold, Silver and Diamonds and Jewellers Association zone Chairman B. Mahabaleshwar Rao said people were purchasing gold as an investment option and not just as jewellery.
In the last ten years, gold prices have increased by 15 to 25 per cent and the World Gold Council expects the prices to shoot up by another 30 per cent this year, he informed.
“It's always safe to invest in gold and it is the right time to purchase more,” said Mr. Rao.
