Japan keen to partner with A.P.

March 04, 2015 04:11 pm | Updated 04:28 pm IST - VIJAYAWADA:

Andhra Pradesh is a strategic location to develop into a business centre because of its 1,000 km sea coast, according to Japanese Minister (Economic and Development) Akio Isomata here on Wednesday.

“We have a dream to work closely with A.P. and we have decided so due to strong leadership in the State,” he said while participating in a conference organised by Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) with a theme ‘Andhra Pradesh as logistics nerve centre’ in connection with its annual meeting.

Mr. Isomata led a 60-member delegation from 40 companies from Japan. The delegation members came to the city and interacted with senior officials in Krishna district. They later visited new Capital region in Thullur in Guntur district. They would be meeting Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu and other senior officials in Hyderabad on Friday.
