The YSRC chief also asks State ministers to resign opposing bifurcation and thus create a constitutional crisis

YSR Congress president Jaganmohan Reddy made an impassioned plea to Congress MPs from Seemandhra region to resign and pull down the UPA government in the wake of the Centre’s decision to bifurcate the State.

At a press conference here on Thursday, he also urged Seemandhra ministers in the Kiran Kumar Reddy government to resign and create a constitutional crisis in the State.

He said the YSRC would also fight the Centre’s decision in the court and called for a 72-hour bandh in Seemandhra to protest against the division of the State.

Accusing Congress and Telugu Desam parties as “betrayers”, he alleged that both the parties sold away the State and wanted them to be taught a lesson.

While the Congress decided to bifurcate the State for “votes and seats”, the Telugu Desam Party was afraid of losing votes and seats and went along and both the parties joined hands and conspired to divide the State.

Mr. Jagan criticised the Centre for giving a go-by to the convention of the Assembly passing a resolution. The three States of Bihar, Madhya Pradesh and Uttar Pradesh were divided only after the respective State Assemblies passed resolutions. He recalled that Union Minister P. Chidambaram, when announcing the process for creation of Telangana on December 9, 2009, had also mentioned that the Assembly would take up a resolution in this regard.

He said the YSRC had met the Governor recently and urged him to convene the Assembly immediately so that a resolution could be passed to stop the process of bifurcation.

The party had also repeatedly urged Telugu Desam Party president N. Chandrababu Naidu to withdraw the letter he had given to the Centre earlier and issue a fresh one opposing the division. He said the YSR Congress leaders would meet on Friday morning and chalk out the future course of action.

Yes Fully endorse the views of MR BEZ.The seed was sown in 1948 when the
country was divided on linguistic basis. Now people of every region in
a state which has been neglected of development process are clamouring
to form a separate state and demanding bifurcation , which is conceded
after protracted delay.Possibly with the division into more states we
may increase the Billionaire list of our political class as -Abou Ben
Adam the Tribe will Increase.

I agree, with so many corruptions cases against him, how can he become champion of united Andhra. Just because he is in favor of united AP does not mean that he is for state and he is clean or can wash all his other sins he committed. He accumulated all his wealth at the cost of people of AP. Now its up to the people of AP to understand his motive and use common sense prior to elating him as leader for united AP cause. There are so many other criminal in Jails and outside, they are also supporting for united AP, but that does not mean that are good people and elect them as MLA/MP or make them representative for any good cause.

Jagan is not for people of AP, he is fighting for his own cause. So that if he win few seats, he will become game changer and can bargain for his freedom by supporting CONGRESS(most likey) or Any party looking for power.

Be careful...use common sense prior to supporting anyone. So many guys are out there to take benefit and become leader overnight.

The public stance of Congress party is that all parties are equally
responsible for division of Andhra Pradesh and hence vote for Congress
again in Telangana for granting a seperate statehood and Seemandhra
for its full support & assistance for establishing the new state. YSR
Congress which is born on deceit and ill gotten wealth wanted to win
peoples hearts under the garb of 'saviour of Telugus'? It is
practically impossible for people to decide which party to go with
under such ugly circumstances? Past performance by NTR and Chandrababu
indicates TDP's performance is dynamic, people friendly and youth
oriented and hence deserve peoples support to render justice. Given a
chance, TDP is the only political party which can transform Seemandhra
as a well developed region in world affairs. People should take such a
challenge for better.

Mr Jaganmohan Reddy knows quite well that there is profit to be made from chaos and confusion. For him, what better a time than now - with he out of jail and the political situation already in turmoil. The one error of judgement on his part being the belief that people cannot see him for a swindler.

Jagan Reddy seems to be taking the Bull by the horn but the moot point and a question mark is what guarantee can he offer the People of Coastal and Rayalaseema region comprising of 13 districts and 25 Lok Sabha seats that he will NEVER ever tie up with Congress party post election scenario of 2014 .In fact the 25 LS Seats from Seemandhra region will be crucial for Govt formation at the centre .Any political outfit which takes a firm stand that they will be loyal to the People of Seemandhra cause will win thums down and sweep the polls in Cosatal and Rayalaseema region
Remains to be seen whom the people will trust ,a difficult choice for the people to trust the political class in the present volatile situation

Without any specific agenda, this corrupt gentleman aims to fight for
a lost cause for his own selfish benefits. These people seem to think
that if they shouted loudly enough then they will win all arguments.
It is amazing to see this person keep an innocent face and not being
accountable to the countless millions of rupees he has embezzled from
"his" people. Now he wants a constitutional crisis, at whose cost my
man? I hope that the world can overcome such fishy characters and
move towards a leadership that has integrity and courage to face up to
the challenges of real life.
