Rajasekhara Reddy, Mr. Reddy also interacted with the public wherever he saw a gathering on the roadside.

Mr. Jagan also travelled all through the night in West Godavari district. He travelled for more than 17 hours non-stop from Friday afternoon before reaching Bhimavaram on Saturday. People waited till the wee hours to have a glimpse of the son of popular leader. He visited the houses of the late Karepalli Yesaiah (Matysapuri), Baladugumula Chinnayya (Palepalli), Sattineni Kanaka Raju (Kottota) and Barri Danayya (Molaparru). He scribbled his phone number on pieces of paper and gave it to the family members, assuring them that he would remain accessible. Mr. Reddy gave away cheques of Rs. 1 lakh each to the families.

Addressing the crowds in Bhimavaram and Veeravasaram, Mr. Reddy reiterated that he had not come to speak politics.

“Even today I am unable to digest the news that my father is not with us. He gave me a big family of all of you. I assure you that I will take care of you till my last breath,” the MP said.

He assured that he would tour the areas again when he would speak politics. “Your overwhelming response touched me a lot,” he said. Ministers Pitani Satyanarayana, Vatti Vasanth Kumar and the Congress MLAs from the district accompanied Mr. Reddy during his tour. Enthusiastic Congress workers ignored the MPs plea to make his visit a low profile event.
