Stars, super models scorch ramp at the Signature 7 Sensations Fashion Tour

The Signature 7 Sensations Fashion Tour came to town bringing the emotion of anger along.

Themed on blending seven sensations into fashion, one for each of the seven cities it is touring, the show had ace designers tailoring their creativity in line with each of the sensations. Anger was Hyderabad's theme.

Along with the chic cuts and bold designs it brought to the city, the fashion show also had actors Rahul Bose and Celina Jaitley setting the ramp on fire. Super models Anchal Kumar and Candice Pinto were there too as was Miss India World Manasvi Mamgai, all setting the haute quotient soaring on Thursday night. “A concept that has caught the eye of the nation, Signature brings the proposition of the Playground of the Bold and Beautiful' alive through 7 Sensations Fashion Tour,” said K. Laxminarasimhan, COO, United Spirits Limited (AP). In its fifth leg of the tour, the show had models showcasing the collections of designers Ranna Gill and Anand Kabra among others from across the country.

Gill used rare earth tones, her collection sporting more of emerald, blue and beige, which she said have been used to show the relationship between nature and fashion. “The collection Anger is dedicated to everyone who not only loves to dress up but can also stand up and make a difference to the society by planting a tree, or saving water,” she said. “I differ from Ranna. I get angry easily,” quipped Kabra. “My designs have been fuelled by the narrative of Draupadi in ‘The Palace of Illusions. My collections are based on the anger between river Krishna and Draupadi,” he said, “It was this anger that changed the course of many lives and history.” What followed were shadowy blues, blacks, violent greens, calmer violets and purples.
