Issue of student bus cards

The Greater Hyderabad zone of the Road Transport Corporation will begin accepting applications for student route passes between June 10 and 19 at various bus pass centres in the city. Applications for student free pass will be accepted between June 10 and September 30 while those for monthly and quarterly student general bus tickets (SGBT) will be between June 21 and 29, a statement from RTC Executive Director A. Koteswar Rao said.

SGBTs for students for the new academic year in the same course will be renewed from June 14 to 30 on the basis of their old identity cards. Renewal of old SGBTs will be taken up at all the existing bus pass counters in Hyderabad. RTC officials, however, clarified that final-year students of any course will not be eligible for renewal.

Bus pass centres include ones at Rathifile, Secunderabad, old CBS Hanger, Sanathnagar, Mehdipatnam, Charminar, Afzalgunj, Uppal, ECIL crossroads, Dilsukhnagar, Ibrahimpatnam, Medchal, Kacheguda, Kukatpally, Shapoornagar, BHEL, NGOs colony, Hayathnagar, Shamshabad and Midhani.
