Iconic new age director Christopher Nolan is back with his Interstellar ready for release this week.. The buzz around the movie has, however, already set in in the city – Prasad’s Imax here will be the only screen in the country where Interstellar can be watched on a 70 mm Imax format.

The Prasad’s theatre complex, which also houses five small screens, was built a little over a decade ago. The Imax theatre, measuring 92 ft by 72 ft is the largest screen in the country and hence, it is not only movie aficionados from Hyderabad, but also those from other cities who find it exciting to watch the film here.

“There is a lot of hype and it is true we are getting enquiries from cities like Chennai, Nagpur, Chandigarh and others about the movie’s release since we are the only theatre having a screen of this size. We have had this [kind of] excitement right from the time of Avataar and the Batman series,” says Krishnamurthy Kishan, the manager at Prasad’s.
